SUNSET RAMBLERS

The Sunset Ramblers held their January campout at Florida Gateway Resort in Jasper, FL. We had three
rigs in attendance. Friday afternoon we gathered to catch up on all the news. We enjoyed the fire as the
sun took away the heat of the day. That evening we enjoyed a buffet dinner at the Telford Hotel built in
1902. The next morning we gathered and spent time together. One of our members worked on sewing
bears for Boggy Creek while we talked. That afternoon we took a long walk exploring the camp. One of our
ladies went back to her childhood and enjoyed jumping on the trampoline. We gathered around one of the
many fire pits around the fountains by the building. They offered to light the fire but we knew we were not
going to stay too long as supper was a waiting. We gathered for spaghetti and all the good fixings. We later
gathered at our fire and welcomed some visitors. Our next campout will be at Pecan Park RV in Jacksonville,
February 10-12. Everyone is always welcome to come and visit with us. We would love to visit for the day or

The Sunset Ramblers held their February campout at Pecan Park RV in Jacksonville, FL. We had four rigs
in attendance. We had several early birds on Thursday. One couple arrived Thursday afternoon and were
happy to be in town so they could go watch their granddaughter cheer. Another couple in on Thursday went
to work from camp on Friday. Thursday afternoon brought out the “so what’s new” conversations and it was
great to get caught up. Four of us played a great game of hand and foot. Friday morning everyone took
care of business. One couple went to work, another went back to the RV dealer regarding the rig they
picked up and brought directly to camp. Another one took their car to a local dealer for a quick repair while
still another one went shopping for supplies for the upcoming garbage bag and duct tape project. After
everyone got back we enjoyed an afternoon of helping each other and good conversations. Soon it was time
for dinner plans and we decided on a local seafood place. After we got back to camp we enjoyed playing
Left, Right, Center and then Sevens. Saturday morning we started with a delicious breakfast and went right
to work on our project for the Samboree. We enjoyed a great afternoon working together and munching on
delicious finger food. That night we had a hard freeze so we were glad we had prepared our houses and rigs
for the cold. Sunday morning warmed up as we broke camp. We are looking forward to the upcoming
Florida Winter Samboree February 29-March 4 and the Georgia Samboree March 22-25. Everyone is
always welcome to come and visit with us. We would love to visit for the day or camp with you for the
