A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT ABOUT THE FALL SAMBOREE
We had a good time in Eustis. Had rain one morning and bean bag baseball got detained for an hour. Dodie
Donaldson won at bingo and so did Clark Hutcheson. Had a very good flea market which was held outside
The campground provided a dinner on Sat. night and it was very good. We of course paid for it and had a
choice of turkey or pork which was all done before we got to the rally. The following people who were there
was Lois & Harry, Sue & Joe, Bob & Polly, Barbara & Clark, Dodie & Paul, Bob & Dottie, Sharon & Bob,
and Marece & Bill. Vachon's even purchase another rig while at this samboree. Dodie & Paul had to leave
on Friday for another engagement. Their was a flea market across the street on Thurs. morning, inside the
building and outside. It was a very nice one. The park also had a drawing for prizes on Sunday morning and
gave away about 60 prizes ranging from coffee mugs, water containers, stadium seats, chairs, and roll up
blankets. We didn't hold a meeting as we really had no business to conduct except voting in the new officers
which we will do in December. We did go to the Mason Jar for dinner on Thursday evening.
SUNSET RAMBLERS

The Sunset Ramblers had 6 rigs present for our November campout at the Good Sams of Florida Fall
Samboree at Southern Palms RV Resort in Eustis, FL. Our two staff rigs arrived early to help get everything
ready for the samboree. Three of our rigs arrived early bird and our 4th rig arrived on Wednesday.
Everyone enjoyed all the fun activities of the samboree. We had a chapter raffle of a wine basket to raise
money for charity. We volunteered and helped out with Dr. Sambones-the information table. We had lots of
good food including donuts, sausage biscuits, hot dogs and ice cream. We enjoyed watching the games be
played. We participated in many different raffles. We contributed door prizes and even won a few back.
Congratulations to one of our couples for earning their first flower of the century patch. We are all very
proud of our award winning newsletter. It took third place in the newsletter completion. We are looking
forward to our next campout at Pecan Park RV in Jacksonville. We will camp December 2-4th instead of our
usual 2nd weekend. Everyone is always welcome to come and visit with us. We would love to visit for the
day or camp with you for the weekend. Please give our president Leo Nadeau a call at 904-771-2762 to join

The Sunset Ramblers held their annual Christmas campout at Pecan Park RV in Jacksonville, FL. We love to
do Christmas close to home as members have lots of other activities that they are involved in so camping
close to home allows members to come and go as needed. We had a member go to the National Weather
Service for their annual Skywarn Recognition Day. It is a 24 hour period where amateur radio operators
make contact with operators at all the other National Weather Service locations. It is fun and great practice
as an alternative means of communication. Our staff members got to camp with us and still go visit another
chapter for their meeting and officer installation. We had a great time visiting with each other. We enjoyed
lots of great meals together. We have a lot of fun and fellowship on our campouts. We set our camping
schedule for next year. In January, our campout will be held the 20th-22nd. Everyone is always welcome to
come and visit with us. We would love to visit for the day or camp with you for the weekend. Please give our
