WAGONMASTER'S DUTIES
After chapter members have decided on location, Wagonmaster is to drive the route to
the destination to check road conditions and to check the campground and facilities.  
Is responsible for collecting money from chapter members and paying the
campground.  Wagonmaster to drive to any locations that side trips are to be made to
in order for him to be able to advise members of his party of any possible adverse
road conditions.  Make notation of any gas stations or mechanics along the way.  
Wagon-master to be informed about nearby scenic, historic or shopping attrac-tions,
and to advise members.  

Make phone calls to confirm all reservations.  Notify campground imme-diately if there
are any changes.

Wagonmaster to make sure all members have printed instructions as to the route of
campsite.

Wagonmaster responsible for all moneys necessary to provide payment to the
campgrounds, extra side tours, meals, etc.  The Wagonmaster will keep a complete
accounting of what is spent with all receipts attached, for reconciliation at the end of
the trip with the Chapter President/ Treas-urer.

At rendezvous point, Wagonmaster is to be the first rig to check into the campground.
 He/she is to post necessary signs that direct members to the campground and that
show the prearranged chapter campout area.  He/she is to greet members and guests
as they arrive at campsite to point out their available sites.  He/she to pass out any
materials needed, ex-plaining each item.  

If possible, have a Tailgunner who will bring up the rear of the caravan and will be in
contact with the Wagonmaster until the last rig has arrived at destination.  If someone
is missing, try to reach them by cell phone and/or go find them and give them the
necessary help.  Discuss where you will be going and give them an approximate time
of arrival.  Give briefings each day for new activities and the time schedule they are to
keep to.

The Wagonmaster is considered the leader of the group.  If a problem arises, the
Wagonmaster will try to solve the problem without discussion with uninvolved parties.

Be available to answer questions of caravaners.  If the Wagonmaster does not know
the answer, he/she is responsible to help them find the answer.

Wagonmaster is to make certain, with the help of chapter members, that the chapter
leaves the campground and facilities at least as clean as when the group arrived.
